Operator numbers rocket as EiG 2014 promotes ‘Outside-In’ agenda

The ‘Outside-In’ agenda will provide gaming industry delegates with the chance to hear from leading decision-makers who can offer fresh perspectives in fields such as customer retention, behaviour and engagement.

With more than 600 registrations so far – a 38% increase on 2013 – and more than a month still to go before the event takes place at Arena Berlin from October 21-23, organiser Clarion Events believes EiG 2014 will set a new benchmark for networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

“We listened to feedback from delegates and promised to deliver growth in operators at EiG 2014, and the numbers speak for themselves,” Kate Chambers, Portfolio Director, Clarion Events, said.

“More than 250 operators from 54 operating groups are signed up to date, representing significant growth year-on-year.

“We will deliver an outstanding programme, with speakers that those in the gaming industry won’t normally come across. Innovation is at the heart of our industry, and that is why we are very excited to welcome speakers who will offer fresh ideas.”

Clive Humby, the creator of the Tesco Clubcard scheme, will be discussing building brand loyalty, while Chris Searle, formally of Bacardi and the former chairman of the Portman Group, will provide insight into how the drinks industry was able to change perceptions of its activities.

Video games industry pioneer Don Daglow will focus on trends and future directions of iGaming content, with his session to be complemented by other video game big-hitters such as Electronic Arts, Atari, and BigPoint.

As a result of the line-up, Eig 2014 has attracted a 20% year-on-year increase in operator groups as well as the 100% increase in individual operators to date.

The likes of 888, bwin.party, bet365, Betclic, Betfair, BetFred, BetVictor, Gaming VC, Rank, Ladbrokes, LeoVegas, mybet, Paddy Power, Paf, Pinnacle Sports and Tipp 24 have confirmed their attendance.

The global growth of the industry will also be reflected by an increase in the number of international delegates, with the figure currently 17% higher than last year.
