Regulator and operator participants are expected to collaborate in crafting a more modern and harmonized regulatory framework<\/strong>, aligned with regional trends<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Regulation and Growth of Gaming in Peru<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Since implementing regulations for sports betting<\/strong> and remote gaming<\/strong> in February 2024<\/strong>, Peru<\/strong> has become the third country in Latin America<\/strong> to establish clear rules for this activity. This regulation has authorized 60 technology platforms<\/strong>, registered 280 service providers<\/strong>, and approved 5,296 physical betting venues<\/strong>. The regulatory authority’s General Director<\/strong>, Engineer Yuri Guerra Padilla, highlighted that “this regulation formalized the digital sector”<\/strong>, fostering a trustworthy environment<\/strong> for operators<\/strong> and users<\/strong>, while opening new investment opportunities<\/strong>, driving digital entertainment<\/strong>, and strengthening tax revenues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Value of the Summit and Key Topics<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    “The Iberoamerican Summit is a unique opportunity<\/strong> to exchange knowledge<\/strong> that helps reinforce and standardize protocols and regulations<\/strong> across the gaming industry<\/strong> in the region. The extensive participation<\/strong> of countries will allow operators<\/strong> and manufacturers<\/strong> to strengthen relationships with public authorities<\/strong> and improve information exchange mechanisms<\/strong>, stated Yuri Guerra.<\/p>\n

    International companies such as Cirsa, GLI, Sharp Vision, Sportium, Novomatic, Apuesta Total, Kaizen Gaming, Atomo Gaming<\/strong>, and sector associations like AIEJA<\/strong> and ALASCA<\/strong> will also participate as sponsors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    As outlined in the program<\/strong>, this edition promises to be a key space<\/strong> for exploring trends<\/strong> and challenges<\/strong> shaping the gaming industry in Ibero-America<\/strong>. Sector leaders will discuss strategic topics such as digitalization<\/strong>, the rise of iGaming<\/strong>, artificial intelligence<\/strong>, responsible gaming<\/strong>, adaptation of land-based gaming<\/strong> amidst online growth<\/strong>, and fiscal challenges<\/strong> in an increasingly digital environment<\/strong>.     \nAccording to the organizer, José Ángel Fernández of JAK Comunicación<\/strong>, "the event highlights markets with the greatest growth potential, typically those with political stability. This is because proper regulation of new forms of gaming and betting is essential for the industry. Additionally, if the region has a strong economy that boosts the competitiveness of companies, the chances of success increase. The industry is constantly changing and evolving". Fernández also mentioned that "this event is the perfect place for both the public and private sectors to meet, explore business opportunities, and assess development potential in different markets".
