The gaming and digital entertainment industry in Puerto Rico is experiencing major transformation and growth. A renewed regulatory framework, new operators, and expanding technological platforms are positioning the island as a key hub for the Caribbean region. In this context, GAT Expo Puerto Rico, set for October 28–29 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, offers an ideal opportunity to explore business possibilities and connect with leading international companies driving innovation in gaming.

The event will bring together local authorities, executives, associations, manufacturers, and global experts in a two-day agenda that combines education, business, and culture.

Morning academic sessions will include detailed analyses of the regulatory framework implemented by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission, which continues advancing toward international standards for licensing and supervision, creating new opportunities for local and foreign operators.

Juan Carlos Santaella, head of the Commission, will be joined by officials overseeing Casinos, Games of Chance, Horse Racing, Sports Betting, Fantasy Contests, and Route Machines to present updates and objectives for the evolving regulatory system.

International associations such as Asojuegos and Fecoljuegos (Colombia) will discuss anti-money laundering (AML) practices, alongside the International Gaming Federation (FIJA), established at GAT Expo Mexico and now recognized as a global voice for gaming associations.

“From our first visit to Puerto Rico, we found a supportive environment and full collaboration from the Gaming Commission,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events. “The island hadn’t hosted a trade fair in over a decade, and this partnership with the regulatory body marks a milestone for the industry. The Commission will play a key role in the academic program, networking sessions, and trade exhibition. The event will close with a performance by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, sponsored by Raza Carreras and its brands Redwall and Ragnes.”

The trade exhibition will open to the public on Wednesday, October 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., showcasing leading companies such as Novomatic, Prometeo Oklahoma, Raza Carreras, Red Wall, Ragnes Virtuales, Caribe Gaming, GLI, Amusnet, Casino Parts, Easylinkx, Expocaribe, Gem Solutions, Golden Race, Softquo, Spinmatic Center, Xpress, Hipódromo Camarero, Juancito Sport, BYA Group, G&G Studio Legal.

Sponsors include Hipódromo Camarero, Raza Carreras, Red Wall, Ragnes Virtuales, and Juancito Sport, with institutional support from the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and the International Gaming Federation (FIJA).
