GAT Expo Puerto Rico lands in San Juan on October 28–29

The Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan will host, on October 28 and 29, 2025, the first edition of GAT Expo Puerto Rico, organized by Gaming & Technology Expo in partnership with the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.

The event will bring together regulators, operators, manufacturers, and trade associations to present Puerto Rico’s potential as a new hub for gaming in the Caribbean and Latin America.

In recent years, the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission has led a process of regulatory modernization and institutional strengthening that has organized casino and route machine operations, regulated sports betting, fantasy contests, horse racing, and eSports, positioning the island as a model of development, legality, and responsible revenue management.

GAT Academy Puerto Rico

The academic section will open on Tuesday, October 28 at 8:30 a.m., with the participation of Juan Carlos Santaella, Cristina Torres, José Aníbal Aguirre, and a delegate of the Government of Puerto Rico.

The agenda includes:

• Evolution of the Legal Framework of Gaming in Puerto Rico, moderated by Santaella.

• The New Era in Casino and Route Machines, featuring Novomatic and Royal Gaming Logistics.

• Betting on eSports, with Red Rooster Team, Betby, and Mobadoo.

• Conference by Evert Montero Cárdenas (Fecoljuegos/FIJA) on the role of associations in the industry.

The day will conclude with a Cultural Networking Tour of Old San Juan and a Welcome Cocktail hosted by Hipódromo Camarero, a symbol of Puerto Rico’s gaming tradition.

Second Day and Trade Show

On Wednesday, October 29, discussions will focus on Responsible Gaming, Land-Based vs Online Gaming (Dominican Republic, Colombia, Puerto Rico), Trends in Virtual Betting, CRM Applied to Land-Based Operations, and State Gaming in Puerto Rico.

Notable participants include José Carlos Figueroa (GLI), Daniel Arias (Amusnet), and María Cristina Mari García (Hipódromo Camarero).

The day will also feature a Keynote Presentation by Juan Carlos Restrepo (Asojuegos) on Advances in AML/CFT Prevention and Control, followed by the Panel on the Casino Landscape in Puerto Rico, with representatives from Casino Metro, Casino del Mar, and Casinos Caguas Real.

At 2:30 p.m., the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the trade exhibition will take place in Ballroom A, featuring international exhibitors such as Novomatic, Golden Race, Caribbean Cage, Prometeo Oklahoma, Caribe Gaming, Softquo, Expocaribe, and Gem Solutions.

Closing Event
