Casino games, expense reaches €197 million in September and Gbo dominates the market

In September, expense on fixed-odds games of chance and solitaire card games, i.e. the so-called casino games, was of €196,915,492 for licensed concessionaires in Italy, an amount estimated by Gioconews.it on operator data, which is obtained by subtracting from the net movement, €4,934,431,011, what was returned to the players in the form of winnings, i.e. €4,737,515,512.
The total number of bets is 60,088,024. Expense is increasing compared to August this year, when it reached €193,536,667.

MARKET SHARES - As for the market shares of the 87 active concessionaires, even these calculated on the expense, Gbo Italy Spa holds, with its various concessions, a total share of 15.18 percent (respectively 7.84 and 7.34, a stable sum compared to that of August 2023), Snaitech is at 8.01 percent (8.43 percent in August), while Sisal Italia Spa is at 8.56 percent (8.37 percent in August). Reel Italy Ltd, which owns the Pokerstars brand, is at 6.80 (6.98 percent in August), Sks365 Malta Limited at 6.51 percent, just above Betflag which holds 6.39 percent.
Physical casinos remain at shares below 1 percent: Casino Sanremo Spa at 0.13, while Casino di Venezia at 0.03 percent. On the contrary, Oia Services holds a share of 0.56 percent, increasing from 0.44 percent in the previous month.
