Casino games, May expense grows by 18.3 percent

Still positive results for "dot it" casino games, i.e. fixed-odds games of chance and solitaire card games with a regular license to operate in Italy. In May, according to the processing of Gioconews.it on the operators data, the expense was in fact of €191,529,177, an amount that is obtained by subtracting from the collection, €4,986,032,671, what was returned to the players in the form of winnings, i.e. €4,794,503,494. In total, 62,857,123 bets were recorded.
These are growing data compared to the same month of 2022: at the time, the expense had stopped at 161,829,346 and therefore the change is positive by 18.3 percent, while last year the bets had been 52,532,535, therefore the growth was of 19.6 percent.

MARKET SHARES – Let's analyze the market shares, calculated on the expense of the 87 concessionaires currently active in Italy.
The podium goes to Gbo Italy Spa (the result of the merger between Lottomatica and Goldbet), which holds two different concessions for a total market share of 14.41 percent. Followed by Sisal Italia Spa, with 8.52 percent and Snaitech Spa, with 8.35 percent at the third place.
Other figures for land-based casinos: the Casinò di Sanremo stops at 0.12 percent, while that of Venice has a smaller market: 0.08 percent. Lastly, the 0.58 percent held by Oia Services Limited should be noted.
