Casinos and games, who goes up and who goes down in July 2019

Gioconews.it analyzes the trend of the gambling houses the past month: positive sign for all three, as regards revenues.

A rich July, due to the revenue of Italian casinos, even if the total balance is clearly lower than last year, missing those of Campione d'Italia, closed for over twelve months by now. The usual Gioconews.it analysis starts from the one with the best trend, Saint Vincent, keeping in mind, however, that all three end July with an increase in their revenue. SAINT VINCENT - A definitely positive July for the Valle d'Aosta's gaming house, a trend which is now constant and which is consolidated in the month in which the procedure on the arrangement with creditors was happily concluded (waiting for the approval). In fact, the month at the Saint Vincent Resort & Casino ends with gaming revenue of €5,396,549, 12.89 percent more than in 2018 (€616.180 more in absolute terms) and with entrances (27.281 in total) down compared to the same month of the past year (minus 6.68 percent). Tables end the month as a whole with plus 19.84 percent (€394.539 more). Black jack (minus 53.99), texas hold'em poker (minus 100 percent, but unlike last year, tournaments were not organized), American roulette (minus 2.85 percent), trente et quarante (minus 13.52 percent) and Poker Saint Vincent (minus 66.41 percent) are among the games with a negative sign. Chemin de fer (plus 295.722 percent), French roulette (plus 471.90 percent), ultimate poker (plus 1.44 percent), fairoulette (plus 41.19 percent), punto banco (plus 11.37 percent) and craps (plus 14.98 percent) have had a positive sign. As for the slots, they collected 3,013,318 in the month, with a positive variation of 7.94 percent (€221.641), compared to 2018. Revenue in the first seven months of 2019 amounted to €34,684,433, 8.65 percent more than the same period in 2018. Revenue from tables for the first seven months amounted to €13,876,350, 10.17 percent more, and for the slots amounts to €20,808,083, 7.66 percent more. On the other hand, entrances are slightly decreasing: they have been 190.8877, 1.33 percent less. In the twelve months not coinciding with the calendar year and which ended in July 2019, gaming revenue amounted to €60,599,608, 7.77 percent more: a result that shows the strength of the recovery of the Valle d'Aosta's gaming house, beyond the variables that can positively or negatively affect the trend of a single month. VENICE - The Casino di Venezia is at the second place, ending July with revenue of total €8,151,364 for the two venues, thus registering a growth, compared to the same month of 2018, which is close to 7 percent: plus 6.99 percent, to be precise. The highly positive result is the result of a growing trend in all the games, except for French roulette, which collects €382,259, or 38.03 percent less. But the series of positive signs is really long: fair roulette grows of 11.27 percent and collects €1,179,356, chemin of 7.11 percent (€402.385), poker cash of 82.45 percent (€2119.385), black jack of 59.34 percent (€768.180) and punto banco of 115.69 percent (€385.764). Last, but only in exhibition order, the queens of the casinos, even of the Venetian one: the slot machines collect €4,814,033, an increase of 0.61 percent compared to the same month last year. As regards entrances, the sign is negative: in July 2019 there were 51,666, which is 4.89 percent less. Seven months is a sufficient time to understand how things are going in the current year: in this regard, the Casino di Venezia collects €54,260,972, 3.16 percent less than the same period in 2018. However, in the first six months the decline was greater, and equal to 4.76 percent. In the period from August 2018 to July 2019, the gaming house collects €95,811,888, 1.41 percent more than the previous twelve months. SANREMO - The Casinò di Sanremo is at the third place, whose activity is not blocked by the waiting for the appointment of the new board of directors and by the search for a new general manager, as long as it is decided to assign the appointment for which a research notice has been issued. Revenue stops at €3,591,036, which represents an increase of 1.2 percent compared to the same month last year. On the other hand, there is a slightest drop as regards entrances: there were 15,389, 9 less than last year, therefore an insignificant minus 0.06 percent. Going into the details of the data, it is worth noting the good trend of the slot machines: 2,979,086, the result of July, or 6.9 percent more. As regards tables, French roulette loses 54.21 percent, collecting €172.520, while the fair roulette grows by 35.61 percent and stands at €92.245. Good the poker tournaments, growing by 70.45 percent (€41.307), while poker cash drops by 31.16 percent, with revenue of €76.899. Finally, black jack is basically stable: with its €80,488, it drops by 0.60 percent, while the punto banco ends July with revenue of €148.490, 48.19 percent more. We take stock of the first seven months: the collection counter, in Sanremo, rises to €25.413.063, or 3.02 percent more than in the same period of 2018. In the twelve non-calendar months the total is €43.615.614, slightly decreasing, 0.92 percent less, compared to the period between August 2017 and July 2018. THE BURDEN OF CAMPIONE - A brief mention, just to provide food for thought also to the legislators, on what the closure, on 27 July 2018, of the Casino of the enclave costs to Campione, but also to the Italian area. In the first seven months of the year, the total revenue of Italian casinos has fallen by 27.66 percent, while in the twelve non-coinciding years of the calendar year the drop was of 28.08 percent.
