Gli Completes Inspection of 100 Percent of Gaming Devices and Systems in Puerto Rico

The 12-week inspection covered 23 casinos and 7,690 gaming devices. Gli Director of Latin American Development Karen Sierra-Hughes said, “We have worked very hard to earn and maintain a high level of trust by regulatory entities to perform duties that support their regulatory objectives. In this case, our objective was to help Puerto Rican regulators to continue the high level of integrity of the Puerto Rico Slot Operation, thereby creating a safer gaming environment for the public, and we are very pleased with our successful completion of this inspection.”

Director of Gaming of Puerto Rico Tourism Company Andy Viera said, “Puerto Rico casinos’ field inspections are intended to maintain the integrity and compliance status of the hardware and software components that are installed and operating in our gaming jurisdiction. The results generated from GLI’s field inspections will provide the Puerto Rico Tourism Company the information needed to determine the current approval status for any piece of software and hardware that has been verified.  One of our goals has been to maintain the public trust on the casino games, and this certification validates our efforts to achieve this objective.”
