Eag 2024, which kick-starts the year for many thousands of amusements and low stake gaming operators will run across the 16th – 18th January and once again take place at its ExCeL, London home.

Confirming the development, show Chairman Martin Burlin, said: “Eag’s traditional January dates are vital to the buying cycle that underpins our industry and which is so important to both games suppliers and of course to operators. At our autumn meeting of Eag exhibitors we were asked to explore the possibilities of retaining January but moving the show further away from the Christmas/New Year shut down. As I’m sure everyone will appreciate moving exhibition dates is not a straightforward exercise but I’m delighted to confirm that having worked closely with the team at ExCeL we have been able to secure these new dates in the third week of January.”

He added: “I would like to acknowledge all of our exhibitors who participated in this process. Not everyone wanted to change the dates in this way but they nonetheless were prepared to support the majority view which I believe is a reflection on the importance the industry places on the show for delivering the ground-breaking amusements and low-stake gaming products of the year. I should also recognise the great support we received from the team at ExCeL.”

Looking ahead to 2024 Martin Burlin believes solid foundations have been set in place from which Eag can continue to grow and flourish. He stated: “Show director Nicola Lazenby who joined us in September has made huge strides in a very short time helping to re-establish the show following the turbulence caused by Covid and the pandemic’s impact on both live events and our consumer-facing industry. So many of those who attended January’s show highlighted the ‘buzz’ within the venue and we received outstanding feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike with one experienced operator saying that he felt the industry had ‘got its show back’.

Eight months ahead of Eag 2024 welcoming the industry to ExCeL, London the team led by Nikki is focussed on building on that positivity at the same time as addressing those areas in which we can improve and adding more of the unique personality and theatre of the business to the at-show experience. I look forward to sharing those developments and enhancements with the industry as they are confirmed.”
