A meeting point for operators, affiliates, technology and games suppliers, with the aim of creating new synergies and new cooperation spaces. All this is iGb live, a central event for the igaming market, which this year takes place for the last time from today, 16 July, to 19, at the Rai in Amsterdam, in the charming Netherlands' capital. The event, for which 10 thousand participants are expected, is of key importance in a constantly evolving world where networking is becoming increasingly crucial for establishing connections between different professional figures. Naomi Barton, portfolio director portfolio director responsible for iGb live (Clarion gaming), tells to Gioco News how this latest Dutch edition will be.

This will be the last edition of iGb live to be held in Amsterdam prior to the July 2025 relocation to London: what has been the response?

“The number of industry professionals that have registered is tracking more than 53 percent ahead at the same stage in 2023. iGb live is already igaming’s fastest growing business event and to be so far ahead of last year’s campaign which culminated in a record unique attendance of 7,299 (+44 percent y-o-y) and 14,500 on-site visits. Drilling down into the numbers 40 percent of those registered have confirmed that they will be attending the show for the first time which is also ahead of what was achieved last year. Each performance metric that we reference is in positive territory and I am confident that everything is in place to hit our projected 10,000+ attendees. The Rai have been amazing partners. We have loved staging the show in Amsterdam and look forward to distilling the same spirit and energy for when we relocate to London in July 2025. We will be using the next edition of iGb live to reflect and celebrate our time in Amsterdam and to say a huge thanks to the Rai team.”

Can we consider iGb live as an event to create synergies and bridges between companies, operators and experts of the sector?

“We’re often told by customers that iGb live is the industry’s favourite event and the place where crucial business deals are made. iGb live is the only event that connects the leading igaming affiliates, operators, tech vendors, game providers and suppliers in order to maximise performance and really drive tangible business growth. It has a unique chemistry and is widely regarded as being not just a dynamic and exciting show but also the home of the igaming community. iGb live delivers unparalleled business opportunities with attendees having free access to in excess of 300 exhibitors and sponsors occupying 21,000+ square metres of gross space, a figure which is 35 percent higher than in 2023.”

What is the thinking behind the rebrand of the Consumer Protection Zone to the Sustainable Gambling Zone?

The decision to rebrand to the Sustainable Gambling Zone (Sgz) was taken following extensive consultation and is set against the heightened importance placed on pro-active customer interventions taking place at earlier stages of the player journey. The Sgz will engage with operators who are focused on long-term sustainability, something which goes beyond simply meeting the regulatory mandate. The overarching objective is to be at the vanguard of initiatives to help develop healthy play - right from the outset. This more holistic approach underpins the safer gambling dynamic. Its goal is to create a more sustainable business in which the vast majority of players can continue to enjoy their gambling entertainment experience but where the small proportion who are at risk of developing problems are pro-actively identified and assisted by operators.”
