SBC confirms continuing September dates for SBC Summit
SBC Events has officially confirmed the dates for SBC Summit 2026 and announced those for 2027, ensuring long-term consistency and forward planning for its flagship event, which most recently brought together 30,000 industry professionals in the Portuguese capital.
The global event will return to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena from 29 September to 1 October 2026 and from 21 to 23 September 2027.
“Clarity and predictability, at least when it comes to dates, are vital. Our partners deserve to plan ahead without uncertainty,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “By setting our dates well in advance, we ensure that everyone can organise their year efficiently and help maintain a well-balanced event calendar across the industry.”
Since 2015, SBC has held its global summit in September, establishing itself as the main industry gathering after the European summer break — the ideal window for sales and strategic planning for the year ahead.
The 2026 dates have been set slightly later than usual to avoid overlapping with major Jewish religious holidays in mid-September, while from 2027 onwards, the event will return to its traditional schedule.
The move from Barcelona to Lisbon marked a major milestone for the summit, rebranded as SBC Summit to reflect its global vision. Since then, the event has experienced exponential growth and widespread industry recognition. The 2025 edition recorded 76.6% first-time attendees and 57.5% new companies, cementing its position as a must-attend date in the global gaming calendar.
“Our focus has always been on serving the industry, not competing with it,” added Sojmark. “Consistency in scheduling reflects that mindset. When organisers align around a clear, predictable calendar, everyone benefits — from exhibitors and sponsors to delegates who can make the most of each event they attend.”
The 2026 edition is expected to welcome over 35,000 professionals from betting, gaming, payments, marketing, and technology, promising once again to raise the bar for the industry.
