It is back in style. With many novelties, which characterize the 2023 edition of the Sbc Summit in Barcelona, scheduled in September, from today, Tuesday 19th, to Thursday 21st, at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc.The event, now in its third edition, has increasingly become a point of reference for the entire European and international industry, and now has an even larger exhibition space than in previous editions, with the organizers having doubled

the area available to over 350 exhibitors, bringing it to 38,000 square meters (slightly larger than the Rcde stadium, which hosted last year's Sbc Football Championship). A necessary expansion, considering the large number of exhibitors and, above all, that the participation of over 15,000 professionals in the sector is expected.

The exhibition area is divided into seven zones, to facilitate surfing within the exhibition by delegates, as well as to more easily identify the relevant companies, based on their specific activity. The different zones include an area dedicated to sports betting, the casino and iGaming area, the part dedicated to payment systems and compliance, an area dedicated to affiliates, marketing and media and a zone dedicated to emerging technologies, blockchain and to the metaverse. Within the fair and the respective sections, seven Conference stages can also be identified, to also cover all verticals in this way, with a room dedicated to each of the main sectors and subjects for the current industry: sports betting, casino, iGaming, payments, emerging technologies, innovation, digital marketing and safer gambling, which host the many thematic conferences proposed in the 2023 edition. And among the prominent keynotes that will take the stage we find world-class names in the gaming industry, such as metaverse guru Matthew Ball and Flutter International's Ceo Dan Taylor

But one of the peculiarities of this edition is a new opportunity for meeting and growth, that is, in the roundtables, which will be 30 and distributed over the three days, dedicated to the most current topics in the sector. In fact, each day will end in moments of meeting and discussion, each of them supervised by an expert moderator, and dedicated to critical topics in the sector and global markets. This setup fosters active engagement, focused discussions that harmonise with specific business requirements and provides the opportunity for interactive problem-solving, as we explore more in-depth in the following pages, also highlighting – as is unavoidable – the two events promoted within Sbc Summit Barcelona by our magazine, which will turn the spotlight on the Italian market and on international horse racing betting, with two dedicated sessions.

But in addition, we were saying, there will be many other roundtables called to close the two days of work “in style”. On Wednesday, September, the 20th, the sessions will be about the five exhibition zones: Sports Betting, Casino and iGaming, Affiliates, Media and Marketing, Payments and Compliance and Emerging Technologies. Roundtables to be held on Thursday, September, the 21st, will explore key established or growing markets. There will be tables dedicated to the United States and Canada to cover the North American markets. For those interested in South America, there will be separate panel discussions covering Latin America and Brazil. As regards Africa, there will be tables focusing on South Africa and Nigeria. Delegates can also participate in a panel discussion on Eastern European markets and take the opportunity to explore the Asian markets, such as India and Japan.

While those who want a targeted exploration of the most important European markets can participate in the tables dedicated to the markets of Spain, Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and of course Italy too, as anticipated and developed below. Delegates can also join focused tables, focusing on the UK and the Nordic countries.

Content at the center - Sbc Summit Barcelona has built a reputation for providing world-class learning, networking and business growth opportunities to operators, affiliates and suppliers, and this year's busy conference schedule will again boast a wealth of educational opportunities, with a panel of speakers of 450 industry professionals, who will offer over 80 hours of content in the seven conference rooms. The conferences will cover sports betting, casino, iGaming, payments, emerging technologies, innovation, digital marketing and safer gambling.

Many prominent experts will actively attend the event, including Borja Mata (owner of sports betting, Codere), Isabelle Delisle (head of group payments, Pinnacle), Tom Banks (head of corporate affairs Uk/Global, Kindred), Anne Muscat Scerri (chief people officer, Videoslots), Simon Vincze (head of responsible gambling projects, Casino Guru), Ivana Flynn (Seo director, ComeOn), Willem Van Oort (founder, Gaming in the Eu: Netherlands, Spain and Germany), Paul Burns (Ceo, Canadian Gaming Association), Caroline Kongwa (Chief Strategic Advisor, The National Gambling Board), Ioannis Panopolous (Director of Online Lotteries, Opap), Andrea Bellezza (VE (non so cosa vuol dire) of Eu Markets and Asia Pacific, KaFe Rocks), Robin Bennett (Department Head: Regulatory Compliance, Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board), Maha Otu (Director, Betwinner Nigeria) and Cassio Filter (Brazil Country Manager, Kto Group).

But the Barcelona fair, which already with the previous editions has been able to present itself as a traditional occasion, in which the global leaders of the sports betting and iGaming sectors meet to discuss the future of the business, exchange opinions and knowledge and create agreements and connections, will primarily offer a lot of of networking and business opportunities, including official networking nights and exclusive invitation-only dinners for affiliates, operators and payment specialists in the best venues Barcelona has to offer.

In fact, as the organizers assure, the event program will be further strengthened in the coming days, adding special features to the fair that will transform the Sbc Summit Barcelona into an unforgettable experience for exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and delegates.

SPECIAL EVENTS

There are also special events designed by the organizers to complete the picture of the international fair. From the exclusive Sbc Leader Summit, hosted by the W Hotel in Barcelona, scheduled for the first day of the fair, to the Sbc first pitch, which brings together some of the most interesting startups in the sports betting and iGaming sector, by giving six of these companies the opportunity to present their product and business plan to an esteemed panel of experts and an audience of industry leaders and investors.

Finally, during the Sbc Summit in Barcelona, the Sbc Championships will also be held, with 200 players who will compete in a five-a side football tournament in the Rcde stadium.

Sbc Awards 2023 - The Sbc Summit Barcelona will end with the Sbc Awards, now in their tenth year, which will take place on the last day of the Sbc Summit Barcelona, Thursday, September, the 21st, 2023 in Barcelona, in the beautiful Codorniu Caves.
